What is the course about?
This course will show you how to clean up your iCloud file storage across any of your iOS devices. You will learn the best ways to deal with out-of-storage messages, create a solid filing system and gain confidence in using iCloud storage.
What will we cover?
iCloud storage for iDrive, Pages, Numbers and Photos. How to upload, download and email documents or photographs to and from iCloud.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
• Use iCloud and its storage features with confidence
• Delete unwanted content correctly
• Create an efficient file system for your documents and photographs.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is intended for beginners with little experience to more advanced users. No prior knowledge of iCloud is required, but you should know how to use a computer and move files around the system proficiently.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions, demonstrations, hand-outs and health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Each student has access to a computer for practical work. You will be taught using a range of techniques including workshops, short lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, tutorials, group and individual. Notes will be provided.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
A pen and paper to take notes. You will need to have access to your Apple ID and you can bring you iOS device.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
We have a range of general and more specialised Apple Mac courses to move on to, and students are free to ask the tutor for advice on related courses.
Michael Harding was born in Canada, where he studied cinema and photography at Concordia University, Montréal, before moving to the UK. Since then, he has created striking images of architecture, art, people and landscapes for international blue-chip clients for their use in editorial, advertising and corporate applications. Michael’s work has won many industry awards, notably being selected in the Eleventh Association of Photographers Awards and further receiving a Merit Award in the Seventeenth Association of Photographers Awards. His work was selected for a Highly Commended Award in the Deutsche Bauzeitung “Visions in Architecture” European Architectural Photography prize. His work has been exhibited in both the United Kingdom and Canada. Michael has been Chairman, as well as President, of the Association of Photographers (AOP). The AOP is Europe’s most established organisation for professional photographers, working to ensure greater recognition for all professional photographers, as well as working to positively influence legislators in the UK and Europe for the benefit of all photographers.
