The emphasis is on developing your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian beginners' or have an equivalent level (about a year of part-time study). This skills-based course is for intermediate learners of Italian and is intended to improve your Italian speaking skills in everyday situations. We will be looking at both formal and informal scenarios, and the aim is to help you to feel more comfortable speaking Italian in order to improve your fluency.

Questi corsi ti daranno la possibilità di migliorare le tue capacità di comprensione ed espressione scritta ed orale e sono basati sull'uso di materiale audiovisivo, lettura, discussione e pratica grammaticale. Italian 3 lower is our course for learners in their fourth year of Italian, so it's meant for intermediate learners who are at CEFR level B1. Italian 3 lower comes after Italian beginners, Italian 2 lower and then Italian 2 upper. You'll improve your intermediate Italian on this communicative course through speaking and listening activities, so the emphasis is on developing your oral skills, but you'll continue to learn more complex grammar and expand your vocabulary.

Italian 2 upper is our third-year Italian course, so this year you'll be progressing through lower intermediate Italian towards intermediate. You'll find yourself learning new ways to express yourself more accurately and confidently. The emphasis is on the development of your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian 2 lower', or have studied Italian for about 2 years. Based on Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni, Italian version).

An opportunity to gain an A-level qualification in one year. You will study topics on the society, history and culture of contemporary Italy and will develop relevant exam skills. Suitable if you have studied Italian for about five years. The course fee includes non-refundable exam costs payable in advance and is payable in instalments.

This course will be delivered online. However, a mock exam will take place in February 2025 at our central London college. You will therefore need to make sure that you make the necessary arrangements so that you can attend. The exact date will be posted when the mock exam has been set up.







The official exams will also take place at our Covent Garden college during the months of May and June (exact dates to be confirmed). Please note that the end date of the course may change depending on when the official exams are scheduled.

This course for beginners is suitable if you already speak a Romance language such as Spanish, French, Portuguese or Romanian. It might also be suitable if you would like to learn at a much faster pace. This course, together with Italian rapidamente: module 2 and Italian rapidamente: module 3 covers years one and two (Italian 1 and Italian 2 Lower) of our Italian programme. Expect more homework than in other courses.

This course follows the A-level syllabus and is suitable for those who would like to progress in Italian in a structured way. The course does not lead to the exam but aims to prepare you to join the Italian A Level course next year. Ideally you should have taken GCSE Italian (having achieved a grade 7, 8 or 9) or have equivalent upper intermediate knowledge. The course is divided into three parts (parts 2 and 3 will take place in term 2 and 3).
