Specialist Teacher Training Courses

We offer initial teacher training for teachers and aspiring teachers/trainers of adults, with part-time, flexible courses leading to national qualifications.

We also train and develop people who are already working, or who want to work in a range of organisations including adult education, community and further education, the voluntary sector, work-based learning and the public and private sector. This includes training in coaching and management.

    The City & Guilds (6502) Award in Education and Training is an initial teacher training course ideal for anyone who teaches adults - or has experience of teaching adults - in Further Education or Adult and Community Learning. We may also consider you if you do not have teaching experience, but are qualified in your subject and have worked in a related field. This course will me mainly online with two sessions at City Lit towards the end of the course. Please note this course will be mainly online, except for sessions 8 and 10, and possibly 11.
