Do you want to learn more about how to become a skilled administrator? These courses will help you develop these skills whether you are relatively new to the role or already experienced. You will learn through completing tasks typical of administration work and develop your problem-solving, decision-making, detail orientation and organisational skills.
We offer a range of courses allowing you to choose between online and in-person learning. All our courses are live, interactive, and taught by expert tutors. The courses are FREE to most learners if you earn less than £21, 157.50 a year or are on JSA or ESA (WRAG). They are either in the City Lit building or live online interactive classes. Do you already have a number of administration skills, and looking to become a personal assistant? Do you work as a PA but need clarity about the role and some skills to do your job more effectively? On this course you will focus on the fundamentals of being a good PA, including understanding what should and should not be expected of you. You will focus on maintaining office systems and organising files including shared drives. You will work on how to deal efficiently with incoming emails and staying on top of information, including prioritising your tasks. You will practise screening enquiries and requests, organising meetings efficiently and maintaining diaries, taking minutes effectively and understanding your relationship with your employer. By the end of the course you will be confident you know what the role entails and that you have the skills to do it.
