For those with previous experience who want to work towards their own goals, or for beginners who want to learn hand-building and throwing processes. We'll also cover glazing and surface decoration.

Build on your existing skills by exploring form and surface. Create functional or non-functional objects by throwing, cutting and later assembling different components. Intermediate level, requiring basic throwing skills.

Attending one full day a week, you will develop new skills trialling different techniques to further your ceramic knowledge, helping to develop your practice. Focus will be on exploration and the development of personal ideas to produce a body of finished Ceramic work and knowledge which could lead onto study. Some materials are included.

Experience and explore all the making techniques in ceramics: coiling, slab-building, press moulds and throwing on the wheel with tutor guidance and demonstration. Also covering surface decoration techniques and basic glazing.
