What is the course about?

This course will look at customer personas,tips on planning a business webiste including e-commerce, advanced Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques to drive traffic to your website, web advertising with Google AdWords, design online advertising campaigns, monitor and manage social media campaigns, along with the management tools needed to measure success.

• Selling online – e-commerce websites and online platforms
• Advanced SEO techniques
• Using on-line advertising – Google Ads and Social advertising

This course is intended as a follow-up to Online Marketing: a detailed introduction although the course would also be suitable for anyone with previous experience in digital marketing.

Practical exercises, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.

Julian Holden

Julian worked as a technical manager for two large organisations before taking a career break to study for an MA and to qualify as a teacher. He now divides his business hours between working as a freelance marketing consultant and business coach for small to medium-sized businesses, and teaching for City Lit, two other colleges, and for a number of charities that help people gain the skills to start their own business. His key interests include web design and marketing, content strategy, search engine marketing and the use of social media.
