State at least three related factors correlates of happiness
Reflect on the interventions that may be most appropriate to enhancing their own happiness.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Introductory : no previous knowledge of psychology of happiness is required. The course should appeal to those who would like to find out more before committing to a longer course on positive psychology and to those interested in personal development.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

A combination of lecturing, group and class discussion, group activities.
Participants should be prepared to engage in group activities and work on their own ways to become happier.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

Handouts will be given out on the day. It would be useful to have familiarity with one or more of the following books (some are available in libraries):

Boniwell, I (2007) Positive Psychology in a Nutshell (London: PWBC)
Seligman, M. Authentic Happiness (New York: Free Press, 2002).

No.

What feedback will I get?

You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor are asked to assess the progress you have made.

How will I be able to give my views on the course?
