Our range of part-time, weekend and evening art and design classes are taught by successful artists and practitioners to ensure you get the skills, knowledge and experience you want and deserve. From experimental painting and drawing to contemporary jewellery making, there is sure to be a course for you. Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA. Our courses are designed with you in mind, so you get to spend more time doing what you love. New for 2020 we now offer a creative portfolio of live online courses as well as our face-face studio based teaching.

  1. Try it out: laser cutting

    Learn how to cut and etch acrylic, plywood, paper or textiles with your own images, patterns or text. Learn some basic slills to personalise an existing template using Adobe Illustrator. You will be able to send your file to be produced in the digital lab and have your own laser cut samples. This course is suitable for beginners.

  2. Cyanotype printmaking in a day
    Course start date:  Wed 12 Jan 2022 (and 5 other dates)

    Cyanotype is a photographic printing process which produces a beautiful deep blue print from a variety of artwork, including drawings, photographs, physical objects or combinations of all of these. All levels welcome.

  3. Developing personal printmaking projects

    Explore new ways to push and develop mixed-media printmaking with collage, screenprint and photo-litho. Combine print processes to develop composite and layered contemporary prints. Work towards the production of a printmaking portfolio and take those next steps in becoming a confident printmaking.

    Stop Motion has always been at the heart of the animation industry. On this short practical course you will find out why Dragon Frame is the stop motion application of choice for the major animation studios and professional independent animators alike.

  5. Developing Japanese woodcut techniques
