What is the course about?
Translating Biblical Hebrew.
N.B. There will be no class on 3/10, 17/10, 24/10 because of Jewish Festivals.
This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.
What will we cover?
Complete our reading of Joshua, Selected chapters from Isaiah, David as a father – chapters from Samuel.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Translate more fluently, recognising all verb forms.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
You need to have completed Biblical Hebrew 1, 2 and 3 or an equivalent Beginners and Intermediate course in Biblical Hebrew.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Reading Bible texts, translating and analysing. You will be asked to prepare the texts beforehand. Students are expected to take part in class activities.

The bible texts will be supplied but you may find it useful to bring a dictionary and Hebrew grammar.
