The purpose of the Functional Skills English Level 2 qualification is to prepare learners for work, study and real life situations. Learners who achieve this qualification will demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, listen and communicate in English. Learners will be able to apply these communication skills effectively to a range of contexts in the workplace and practical situations.

On completion of the certificate, you would have the opportunity to join UX/UI design companies as an entry level UX/UI designer with some website creation/design experience or progress onto higher education.
This course is part of the government’s Free courses for Jobs initiative, providing the skills employers need and focusing on qualifications with good job opportunities and pay.

The course fee is £2349.00. If you are unable to pay the course fee upfront, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan from the Student Loans Company (SLC) to help cover the cost. The Advanced Learner loan available for this course is £941.00. The remaining fee of £1408.00 will need to be paid at enrolment. Do you need to gain a national maths qualification to show you have a good level of mathematical competence? Functional Skills Level 2 Maths shows employers and others that your maths skills are at a good level and that you can use skills to solve complex issues in a variety of situations. You will develop your maths to become a problem-solver, analyser and decision-maker.
You MUST pass the first 6 weeks of the course. You must attend every class and do the necessary homework. If you do not, you will not be able to continue the course.

On this course you will learn everything that you need to take your functional skills Level 1 Maths exam. You will develop your mathematical skills and knowledge in working with numbers, measures, shapes and space and Handling data. This course will give you the mathematical skills appropriate to the level, and allow you to apply mathematical thinking to solve simple problems in familiar situations. By the end of the course, you will have an exams to sit which, if you pass, will give you your Functional Skills Level 1 Maths qualification.
