Building on techniques and approaches covered in the Painting 1, this course enables you to work with more depth and a stronger emphasis on experimentation. This is suitable if you already have some experience in painting.

Do you want to develop counselling skills for paid or voluntary work? This course includes occasional weekend sessions which you will be required to join and one compulsory residential trip away.







In order to apply for this course, please ensure that:



• you have (or will have) completed an in person introductory counselling course of 30 hours, with an attendance record of at least 80% (within the last three years)



OR



• you have completed an in person introductory counselling course of 30 hours with an attendance record of at least 70%



AND



• you have completed an in person ‘Counselling introduction: advanced’ course (or equivalent) with an attendance record of at least 80% (within the last three years)



• you are able to speak and write fluently in English (level 2/GCSE).

A fun, relaxed and shorter life drawing class better suited for people coming straight from work. You will be able to work from a variety of life models, in a range of materials and with a variety of poses. You will be working from the unclothed model, both male and female.

An introduction to drawing from observation through a carefully structured approach in a studio environment. Suitable for beginners.

An ensemble ukulele class with individual parts. For experienced players who read chord symbols and tablature, although tab reading is not a mandatory requirement. Challenging and fun - the music/repertoire will be tailored to your various abilities.

This course is for players who have been learning violin/viola for two to three years (playing at Grade 2-3 standard), take the next step to learn vibrato, positions above 1st, and improved bow control. This course continues with Violin and viola 3B next term.

This is the third term in our beginners piano programme. If you have completed ‘Piano/keyboards 1B’ or have existing keyboard and music reading skills, this course will further develop your technique and musicianship.

If you already play ukulele, perhaps you have followed uke 1 and 2, come and learn new songs, chord theory, picking and split strokes, and apply these to popular and vintage tunes. Enjoy learning in a group. Classes will include singing along.

Learn a wide variety of techniques including throwing, handbuilding, decoration and glazing. Ideal for beginners to pottery or for those with some experience.



NOTE: Applications will be reviewed in May 2024.

This third year of our piano programme begins with repertoire of a grade 1 standard. Improve your technique, fluency of reading and playing, and exploring more complex rhythm patterns.

A course for those who have been playing violin/viola for about a year, know the G/D/A major scale finger pattern and basic music notation. Learn to play a variety of musical styles in a friendly class. Continues to Violin and viola 2B next term. Break week: 21 Oct 2024.
