    Do you want to develop counselling skills for paid or voluntary work? This course includes occasional weekend sessions which you will be required to join and one compulsory residential trip away.







    In order to apply for this course, please ensure that:



    • you have (or will have) completed an in person introductory counselling course of 30 hours, with an attendance record of at least 80% (within the last three years)



    OR



    • you have completed an in person introductory counselling course of 30 hours with an attendance record of at least 70%

    • you have completed an in person ‘Counselling introduction: advanced’ course (or equivalent) with an attendance record of at least 80% (within the last three years)



    • you are able to speak and write fluently in English (level 2/GCSE).

  2. Diploma in therapeutic counselling: integrative pathway

    This Diploma course takes place over two weekday evenings. You will need to have completed a level 3 certificate in counselling skills course (minimum 145GLH) within the last three years to be eligible to apply. This two-year course awarded by Skills Education Group Awards (SEG) qualifies you to practise as a counsellor.



    The course fee is £2225, plus an upfront fee of £2574 payable at the time of your enrolment.



    If you are unable to pay the course fee upfront, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to help cover the cost, repayable after the course ends.   3. City Lit ceramics portfolio

  6. City Lit basketry course: advanced

    For learners experienced in a wide range of basketry techniques, this is a new course to build develop your skills. You will be introduced to some new techniques and emphasis will be placed on self directed study and developing a personal portfolio of work. This course is suitable for those experienced in a wide range of basketry techniques and who have completed the City Lit basketry course or have equivalent skills. These will be discussed at a pre-enrolment interview.

    Take your textiles to another level with this stimulating two year advanced course. Open up new perspectives for your work as you explore a range of technical and visual research methods in response to a theme.     This advanced course will refine your existing jewellery making and design skills, through sessions in the workshop and guided independent study tasks.
