At City Lit we offer Swedish language learning courses delivered through a communicative approach that emphasises speaking and listening skills through interactive classroom based learning. Whether you are a complete beginner, a tad rusty or already fluent and want to enjoy Swedish conversation, we offer a range of language courses during the daytime, evening and weekend to meet your needs.

There are 10 million native speakers of the Swedish language in Sweden, Finland and Estonia. As with the Danish language, Swedish is also derived from Old Norse, the language used during the Viking era.

Some words of Swedish origin that appear in English conversation include 'moped', 'ombudsman', and 'orienteering'.

Whether you would like to attend part-time or weekend language classes, our highly popular language lessons offer the widest choice in London. Most language courses are taught at seven different levels and you can start anywhere from beginner to advanced.
