City Lit offers performing arts courses in the heart of Covent Garden in Central London during the evening, daytime and at weekends.   2. Stage management and technical theatre production

    A unique and excellent opportunity to gain ‘hands on’ experience in one or more areas of technical theatre production. The course introduces all aspects of mounting a production including stage management, lighting and sound. Following preliminary practical sessions, you will develop your skills while working as part of the student technical team, supporting a full production in our in-house John Lyons Theatre. Suitable for beginners or those with previous experience.







    Mondays and Thursdays 18.30–21.30 on the following dates. 24 Apr, 15 & 22 May, 5 & 12 June and Thursdays: 27 Apr, 11, 18 & 25 May 8, 15 June.







    There are some Saturday sessions 10.00–17.30.



    Production week: Sunday 18 June 10:00–17:00, Monday 19 June–Saturday 24 June18:00–22:00 and Saturday 13:00–17:00.



    Saturday attendance and frequency will depend on the technical role you are allocated. Individual call times may vary but 100% attendance is required whenever you are called. You will need an ability and willingness to have some flexibility.

  3. Piano workshop 8

    Practise and develop your acting skills by rehearsing in depth scenes from contemporary plays or a whole short play. These will be performed in the college's John Lyons Theatre to an invited audience at the end of the course. This course is suitable for students who have completed a broad range of our acting courses at beginners and improvers level or who have gained suitable experience elsewhere.

  7. City Lit a cappella

    This established ensemble sings original arrangements of jazz and popular songs. Develop your listening, timing, intonation, musical memory, and team work.
