Supplement your instrumental or vocal study and improve your musical timekeeping. You will play in these online sessions, read and write rhythms, and work by ear.

Develop your understanding of musical language by learning to read and write rhythm and melody in compound time, phrase structure and anacrusis (upbeat/pickup), transposing between clefs, major and minor keys up to four sharps/flats. Break week: 16-22 Feb 2026

This lively online course teaches technique and songs in popular music styles of folk, jazz, pop, rock, and musical theatre. Develop your vocal technique and musicianship in this group class, interract with the tutor and classmates, add new songs to your repertoire. New students with experience of solo singing and some formal training are welcome to join the group.

Designed for advanced non-native speakers, and all who have completed 'English Pronunciation' stages 1 and 2. Conversation and the reading aloud of a variety of texts will help to pinpoint those pronunciation worries still to be addressed.

Enhance your aural awareness of the mechanics of music and improve your recognition of, and response to, music in practice. Sing intervals, scales and harmonies in class, and study time and rhythm.
