What is the course about?

This course follows on from our popular Podcasting: introduction course, and provides an opportunity to further develop your editing skills by producing a more complex podcast.

What will we cover?

• Production values
• Telephony recording platform
• Interview technique
• Editing tips and tricks.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

• Produce a podcast using different techniques and approaches
• Be more familiar and confident with the editing process
• Utilise advanced editing techniques.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You must have attended the Podcasting: introduction course and have a podcast or plan for a podcast to work on.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions in English to support demonstrations, handouts and for health and safety information. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple calculations.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Teaching will be mainly practical and will incorporate a mix of solo and group activities and discussion-based learning.
