This is a City & Guilds 6502 qualification: Level 3 Award in Education and Training. This course is for people who want to teach adults. Combine it with GT106, Lipreading Teacher Training Course, and you will qualify to teach lipreading in this sector.
There will be some home study before each lecture block. There will also be 2 practical teaching assessments, in December 2022 (online) and June 2023 (at the City Lit in London unless there are Covid restrictions, in which case it will take place online.)

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to teach in the post-16 education sector. This could be as a trainer in the private training industry or as a teacher/lecturer in further education.
You will attend City Lit for lecture blocks over 8 sessions from 7th October 2022 to 10th June 2023.

This course will be a mixed delivery mode. Students will attend City Lit, Covent Garden, London for some of the teaching blocks and access some of the blocks online.
You will attend lecture and teaching practice blocks on the following dates.
2022: October 14th/15th November 11th/12th December 9th/10th
2023: January 13th/14th February 3rd/4th March 3rd/4th March 24th/25th April 28th/29th May 19th/20th June 16th/17th
If combined with a teaching qualification such as our GT105 Award in Education and Training, this will qualify you to
teach Lipreading in the Further Education sector.
