Do you know the basics of emailing and internet use? Are you ready to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook? Then this course is for you. You will start learning how to word process, use spreadsheets and create presentations, vital skills in today’s world inside and outside the workplace. You will also learn the most essential aspects of Outlook so you can send and receive emails and organise them. You will develop these skills by working on key tasks such as letter-writing, budgeting, presenting and contacting work colleagues. By the end of the course you will be able to create well-presented short texts such as letters, design simple budgets and tables, produce effective and attractive presentations and email them to friends and work colleagues. This course is perfect for anyone who needs a good foundation on the basics of Microsoft's popular spreadsheet program. On this course, you will learn how to enter and present data and make it visually appealing, readable and usable through changes of font, style, use of tables and other formatting features. You will practise making calculations, using functions and formulae, modifying links between worksheets, as well as creating basic charts and graphs - a great way of visualizing data!

Do you want to gain a qualification and develop the key digital skills needed in the modern workplace, but don't feel quite ready? This short course will prepare you for the level 2 Award in Digital Skills. You will focus on using Word, PowerPoint and Excel to produce attractive documents and presentations and analyse data. These skills will ensure you are equipped for most jobs including those requiring extensive administration as well as ready to achieve your level 2 qualification.
