Habitats, Ecology & Conservation Courses in London

Join botanist Letta Jones for a short, practical, intensive 3-full day course exploring the richness of medicinal plants in literature, dried specimens, plus identification of plants in gardens and parks. The course will consist of a mixture of classroom sessions and visits to libraries and garden/parks. .

We hear and read about climate change every day. Yet it is hard to keep up and get the big picture. Join us to slow down and get a sense of how the problem of climate change has emerged, what is being done about it and what more needs doing.

Join Letta Jones for three tree identification walks in Regent’s Park. These walks will take place on Saturday morning. We will explore common trees, focussing on bark, twigs, leaves, outline, seeds and fruits, with the aim of giving you the confidence to get to know what to look for when identifying trees.

Join Ben Chapple to explore London’s wonderful Richmond Park, appreciate the fascinating behaviour and ecology of its wildlife (including the Red Deer rut), and learn about the challenges of conserving nature in the urban environment.

Join us to explore two of London’s most rewarding locations for observing wildlife in the winter months, Rainham Marshes and Walthamstow Wetlands. Learn to identify bird and mammal species at this time of year.
