Venice Season at City Lit

Join us for our exciting Venice season, exploring the culture of Venice across time through art history and music.

You can dip in with our short lunchtime lectures (on topics such as Canaletto’s Venice; Venice and the Grand Tour; Peggy Gugenheim’s Venice), or extend your knowledge further with short courses such as ‘Venetian art of the 15th-16th centuries: beauty, splendour and light’; ‘Think like an artist: in 16th century Venice; or ‘Focus on: Titian’. We also offer a wonderful opportunity to visit Venice itself, accompanied by an expert tutor, with our Study Trip Abroad: Venice.

If your interests lie in the music of Venice, we have courses on Monteverdi and the musical Baroque, Allegri's Miserere, and Great artists: castrati.

You can also support your studies by taking one of our Italian language courses.

You can see the full Venice Season programme below. Learn more about why we're celebrating Venitian culture this year: Why Venice? Why Now?
