Eating for a happy mind: how food can influence your mood and energy levels, which foods will enhance brain function, energy levels and positive thought and which will do the opposite!

Come to play tunes from several traditions and two continents, working with complex rhythms in related and contrasting ways. There is a musical narrative that begins in Africa, travels to the Caribbean and South America, then back to Africa, carrying musical styles and rhythmic patterns. We will explore samples of this rhythmic timeline.







Piano places are limited to two so please check with the department prior to enrolling if you want to play piano on this course.

We will explore the history and evolution of the big band and large ensemble in jazz throughout the 20th century.

A one-off workshop on this worldwide phenomenon, delivered in the college. How can the impact of what we hear and feel enhance our connection to our voices? Through body-mind connection and the use of vocal sounds, gestures, rhythms and touch, you can not only reset your nervous systems, and better manage stress, but also find a deeper connection to your voice.

Learn about London’s surprisingly diverse birdlife, including basic identification, behaviour and ecology (with a special focus on birdsong and migration), and conservation. The course will consist of 3 guided walks and 3 classroom sessions. First session takes place at Keeley Street.
