Discover how to capture the bright lights of London’s West End after dark. This course will lead you through Piccadilly Circus, the London Eye and Waterloo Bridge and provide feedback on your images in the classroom.

Lighten things up: join this practical course to learn the basics of using portable flash (speedlights) to enhance your images. Experiment creatively indoors and outdoors with different flash techniques, with a professional photographer on hand to guide you throughout.

This is a creative workshop course that pays homage to the grandmasters of fine art portraiture and still life both in photography and art. With the use of props, lighting and visual analysis you will reconstruct the atmosphere of fine art paintings and photography. Taking images from the Dutch master painters from the 17th and 18th centuries, and master photographers from the 1930s and 40s, such as Ansel Adams, Edward Weston and Berenice Abbott, we will create contemporary versions using light and props.

This course is a natural follow on from City Lit photography projects VY844 & VY878.
You will work on a self-set project for the length of the course.

Learn how to do it yourself on this short practical introduction to photographing professional-level 360° by 180° panoramic images. Get to grips with the whole process of shooting and stitching, from single row to multi-row panoramas for print - and web-viewable virtual tours using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and PTGui.

Explore and discover London through photography walks around locations rich in photographic potential.
The walks revolve around photographing views along the River Thames, from the Aldwych area eastwards to the City, from London Bridge to the Southbank and from Westminster to the newly developed Nine Elms area. Bring your own camera and comfortable walking shoes as you capture places, spaces, objects and people.

This course will prepare you to compete in the challenging world of client-facing photography in the areas of wedding photography. You’ll be taught by knowledgeable and highly experienced professional practitioners who bring all their skills and experience to help launch or evolve your professional practice.
