Literary Inspiration from City Lit

Story added 9th Aug 2017

As American literary icon Joyce Carol Oates puts it “Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another's skin, another's voice, another's soul.”

If you find nothing more satisfying than getting lost in a good book, City Lit run regular reading groups throughout the year, and this autumn, we have a number of fascinating literature courses for you to enjoy. We’ll be taking a look at Jane Austen’s work 200 years on from her death, a deep dive into American literature from the 1950s, as well as exploring the conspiracy thriller genre as we analyse Cold War fiction centred around the city of Berlin.
