London Repertory Players

Story added 12th Jul 2019

London Repertory Players – produced by City Lit Voice and Speech coordinator Vernon Thompson – present their annual summer rep season at the Shelley Theatre in Bournemouth.

A group of professional actors perform one play for a week while rehearsing next week’s play during the day and learning the lines for the play the week after!

It’s part of our mission here at City Lit to support graduates from our acting and technical courses by offering them their first professional (paid!) job. We are very proud that five actors, who previously studied at City Lit, are going to be part of this summer’s London Repertory Players, as well as one of our tutors!

Jessica Olim graduated from our Drama Access course 2 years ago and stars in two shows.

Jordan Moffat was Vernon’s assistant director on the City Lit centenary production of The Laramie Project and is hired to be the Deputy Stage Manager.

And not forgetting Television’s Nikki Kelly from Hi-de Hi! who works at City Lit as a voice and speech tutor. She is also the guest star in the thriller HOUSE GUEST.

Evening performances from 1st August (NOT on Wednesdays or Sundays) with special Saturday matinees on Saturday 17th and 24th August.
