National Open Art Exhibition displays students work

Former City Lit student Suzsi Corio has been honoured with the opportunity to have her painting, Aurelia’s dress, displayed at the National Open Art Exhibition.

Suzsi Corio, a former City Lit student, is having her painting, Aurelia’s dress, exhibited at the National Open Art Exhibition at Mercers Hall. Last summer Suzsi took part in the Contemporary Painting Studios course which is a 12-week programme in which students study contemporary artists and then learn how to develop their own skills and style to the point of creating a finished masterpiece.

Aurelia’s Dress was one of 3000 artworks entered for consideration in the exhibition and is one of the only 170 successful pieces to be displayed, which include paintings, photography and sculpture. The show has been notably curated by Robin Muir, who’s recent work include the National Portrait Gallery: Vogue at 100.
