Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA.     Consolidating the experience gained in year 1 of CLFA, you will pursue a more individual, self-motivated route, resulting in a body of work that reflects your own interests. You will have one-to-one tutorials and production sessions that allow you explore and refine your creative skills, plus seminars and lectures in which you will engage with new ideas and contexts; all delivered by experienced, practising artists. Basic materials are provided for working in the City Lit studios, but you may be required to source your own specialist materials, depending on your choices.

    It is ideal for anyone who has already completed our City Lit graphics course, and for anyone wishing to build a more extensive and professional portfolio of graphics work, whilst developing a deeper understanding of the connection between text, image, message and media.

  6. Contemporary printmaking studio

    Explore and develop personal work using traditional printmaking methods with a contemporary approach. Techniques covered include drypoint, etching, linocut, collagraphy and photo etching. All levels of experience welcome. Beginners will follow a step-by-step introduction to a range of processes; those with experience can develop personal projects with expert guidance.
