Learn a simple, safe and effective chair-based massage that will de-stress and relax you. This introductory routine includes shiatsu techniques and massage of the neck, shoulders, arms and back. On-Site massage is performed through clothes and is suitable for working on a chair at home.

Revise and consolidate your lower intermediate French speaking and listening skills. Suitable if you have recently studied French for two to three years.

You will visit interesting places and learn about the history of the city and the people who live there. You will also learn about important events in the city in the past and now. You will improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will learn a lot of new words to describe people and places and how to express yourself fluently and correctly.

Interested in anti-ageing facial massage tecniques but don’t know where to begin? Why not try this general introduction? This highly effective and popular massage can delay the visible signs of ageing, without the need for invasive surgery. Perfect to use on yourself or friends and family.

Come and consolidate your upper-intermediate French. You will develop your listening skills and practise your oral French by taking part in discussions, debates on news items and cultural events.

With proceeds going to the City Lit Student Bursary, the French Film matinée is a chance to round out the term with a fun movie matinée in the college. The film will be presented by tutor Stéphanie Radet.



The film we will be watching is Les 400 coups by François Truffaut (1959), a film about Antoine Doinel, a semi-autobiographical character and a misunderstood adolescent in Paris who struggles with his parents and teachers.

Ranging from sixteenth century love sonnets via bawdy Restoration verse to a Victorian eroticised poetic narrative, this course examines how the language of love and desire, and the poetic representations of gendered bodies, provide an idiom that can be used to express both conservative and more subversive cultural ideas.
