Suitable if you have completed Modern Greek 2 upper or equivalent (i.e. have studied Greek for 3 years recently).

This course follows the A-level syllabus and is suitable for those who would like to progress in Italian in a structured way. The course does not lead to the exam but aims to prepare you to join the Italian A Level course next year. Ideally you should have taken GCSE Italian (having achieved a grade 7, 8 or 9) or have equivalent upper intermediate knowledge. The course is divided into three parts (parts 2 and 3 will take place in term 2 and 3).

Suitable if you have completed Scottish Gaelic beginners: module 2 or have an equivalent experience (e.g. have studied the language for 33 classroom hours). Continue learning to speak and understand Gaelic in this communicative course for beginners. The course also provides an introduction to Gaelic culture, poetry and songs. Based on units 8-10 of the coursebook 'Teach Yourself Gaelic'.

Develop your intermediate Japanese. Suitable if you have completed 'Japanese 3 lower module 3' or studied Japanese for at least 4 years recently. Improve your level of intermediate Japanese on this communicative course which will give you the opportunity to develop your oral and listening skills as well as consolidate your reading and writing skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Japanese 3 lower' or equivalent..

Gain a GCSE qualification and develop your practical language and exam skills. Suitable if you have studied Italian for about two years. The course fee includes non-refundable exam costs, payable in advance. Course fees are payable in instalments.







This course will be delivered online. However, a mock exam will take place in February 2025 at our central London college. You will therefore need to make sure that you make the necessary arrangements so that you can attend. The date will be posted when the mock exam has been set up.







The official exams will also take place at our Covent Garden college during the months of May and June (exact dates to be confirmed). Please note that the end date of the course may change depending on when the official exams are scheduled.

**City Lit is an adult education college, so we are only able to accept candidates who are aged 19 or over.

Practise and improve your upper intermediate Dutch in this communicative course, with the emphasis on listening and speaking skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Dutch intermediate' or have studied Dutch for about 2 years.

Discuss aspects of Russian literature and other cultural matters and learn some advanced grammar. Suitable if you have completed Russian 3 at City Lit or have actively studied the language for at least 3 years.

Further develop your listening and speaking skills in Japanese. Suitable if you have completed 2 lower: module 2 or studied for nearly 2 years recently.

Develop your communication skills in Dutch for everyday situations.Suitable if you have completed Dutch beginners:module 3 or equivalent or have been learning Dutch for one year.

Learn Chinese Mandarin in the heart of London on this lively classroom-based course.



Develop your fluency in this course taught in Chinese (Mandarin), with the emphasis on speaking and listening. Suitable if you have studied Mandarin for about 3-4 years and have a good command of the language.
