Come and play string repertoire in a friendly group, and develop your confidence in ensemble playing. Suitable for those who have been playing violin, viola, cello or double bass for at least two years, playing at Grade 3 standard or above. This is the third term in our beginners piano programme. If you have completed ‘Piano/keyboards 1B’ or have existing keyboard and music reading skills, this course will further develop your technique and musicianship. If you play piano at around grade 4 standard, join our Piano workshop 4 to develop your playing by studying a wide range of piano repertoire, with a focus on technique, practice and performance skills.

This improvers course will focus on expanding existing knowledge of ballet technique and vocabulary and is designed to enable you to learn and execute more varied and complex movement sequences. There is an emphasis on delivering ballet technique to facilitate healthy joints, flexibility, movement quality and core strength.



Silver Swans® classes have been specifically designed for the over-55s and the improvers course is suitable for older leaners with at least 1 year of foundation ballet or Silver Swans experience.

Explore the wonderful repertoire for mixed wind ensemble, developing your technical, musical and ensemble skills. You need to play an orchestral wind instrument (including saxophone) at grade 3 standard or higher. Break week 29th October 2024.

Learn techniques for composing your own music for instruments and/or voices. Suitable for students with knowledge of music theory grade/level 6 standard.

The Charleston is a fun, easy and uplifting dance and this solo dancing course will have you moving with speed, vitality, and expression. With toe tapping Jazz music from the 1920s and beyond you will learn original Charleston dance steps and moves, improve your musicality and improvisation. A great way to get fit whilst learning a unique and impressive new skill.

A near-beginners’ course for pianists. If you have completed Piano/keyboards 1A or and have basic keyboard and music reading skills in C position, this course will introduce you to more notes.

Explore a range of exercises and acting techniques that will illuminate and enliven a variety of scripts and scenes in this improvers class. Consolidate techniques and deepen your understanding in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
