City Lit offers performing arts courses in the heart of Covent Garden in Central London during the evening, daytime and at weekends. Explore our range of subjects including acting, (including accredited acting courses), dance, radio and screen, and voice, speech and communication as well as a full range of music courses, such as piano, singing, strings and wind instruments to jazz and pop, music technology, music theory and history

Classical ballet: improvers 2We will continue developing ballet technique through barre, centre work and allegro exercises. This lively online course teaches technique and songs in popular music styles of folk, jazz, pop, rock, and musical theatre. Develop your vocal technique and musicianship in this group class, interract with the tutor and classmates, add new songs to your repertoire. New students with experience of solo singing and some formal training are welcome to join the group.

A beginners workshop style class for singers who are looking to take the first steps into singing solo. Learn how to sing confidently with an accompanist through manageable exercises and challenges building to an entire song.

Develop your listening, timing, intonation, musical memory, and team work. New members with good music reading and aural skills are welcome. - Chamber music: advancedDiscover the pleasure of playing in small, mixed instrumental ensembles, one per part, in a variety of repertoire. For classical instrumentalists at grade 5/6 or above. Due to the demanding nature of most piano parts, pianists should play at Grade 8 level or higher. Good sight reading skills and experience in chamber music are required. - Piano: workshop 6
If you play piano at around grade 6 standard, join one of these workshops to develop your playing by studying a wide range of piano repertoire, with focus on technique, textural awareness, practice and performance skills. This course is suitable for students working towards ABRSM Grade 6.
