This course follows the A-level syllabus and is suitable for those who would like to progress in Italian in a structured way. The course does not lead to the exam but aims to prepare you to join the Italian A Level course next year. Ideally you should have taken GCSE Italian (having achieved a grade 7, 8 or 9) or have equivalent upper intermediate knowledge. The course is divided into three parts (parts 2 and 3 will take place in term 2 and 3).

Develop your intermediate Japanese. Suitable if you have completed 'Japanese 3 lower module 3' or studied Japanese for at least 4 years recently. Improve your level of intermediate Japanese on this communicative course which will give you the opportunity to develop your oral and listening skills as well as consolidate your reading and writing skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Japanese 3 lower' or equivalent..

Want to learn (continue learning) French but worried that you might not be able to keep up? French 4 at a gentle pace is designed to cover the same material as our standard French 4 at a gentle pace class, but at a slightly slower pace, and with more opportunities for revision built in.

Discuss aspects of Russian literature and other cultural matters and learn some advanced grammar. Suitable if you have completed Russian 3 at City Lit or have actively studied the language for at least 3 years.

Practise and improve your upper intermediate Dutch in this communicative course, with the emphasis on listening and speaking skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Dutch intermediate' or have studied Dutch for about 2 years.

Designed for fluent non- native students and all who have completed 'English Pronunciation' stages 1 and 2. Conversation and the reading aloud of a variety of texts will help to pinpoint those pronunciation worries still to be addressed.
