This year’s Deaf Day exhibition looks at the history of BSL and how it developed from the Georgian Deaf working-class community right up until the present day. Curated by acclaimed Deaf historian and City Lit BSL tutor Peter Brown.

Deaf Day is a free annual one-day event organised by City Lit’s Centre for Deaf Education. Deaf Day is a celebration of Deaf culture, an opportunity to socialise and celebrate Deaf Education.
