You can book your free taster sessions for Deaf Day 2022 here. For each session we will have some spaces available that can be booked at City Lit in person on the day.

When does an 80 year-old look like an 18 year-old? Join Lorraine Braggins for some fun practice lipreading numbers. Taught in spoken English with a BSL interpreter.

A talk with David Buxton, chair of the British Deaf Association (BDA), about the recent developments of the BSL Bill. A Bill to recognise British Sign Language as a language of England, Wales and Scotland. Book here >

Deaf Day 2022

Deaf Day is a free annual one-day event organised by City Lit’s Centre for Deaf Education. Deaf Day is a celebration of Deaf culture, an opportunity to socialise and celebrate Deaf Education. 2022 will be the 24th City Lit Deaf Day.
