Join us for a special talk and Fellowship Award presentation with City Lit Fellow Nick Boles MP.

We are delighted to welcome British Conservative Party politician Nick Boles, to discuss the challenges and opportunities for Britain after Brexit and his latest publication ‘Square Deal’ with City Lit Principal Mark Malcomson CBE.

Nick Boles has been a Member of Parliament for the Grantham and Stamford constituency in Lincolnshire since 2010. He was Skills Minister from 2014 until 2016 and was responsible for devising the apprenticeship levy and the government’s technical education reforms. He was incredibly supportive of Adult Education in the UK and is a keen advocate for City Lit. His new book ‘Square Deal’ is currently published online as a blog. He diagnoses the main economic and social problems affecting the UK and proposes a set of bold new policies.

This insightful discussion will conclude with a presentation of Nick’s Fellowship Award to celebrate his newest achievement of becoming a City Lit Lifetime Fellow. Please join us afterwards for a glass of wine.
