Our range of part-time, weekend and evening art and design classes are taught by successful artists and practitioners to ensure you get the skills, knowledge and experience you want and deserve. From experimental painting and drawing to contemporary jewellery making, there is sure to be a course for you. Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA. Our courses are designed with you in mind, so you get to spend more time doing what you love. New for 2020 we now offer a creative portfolio of live online courses as well as our face-face studio based teaching.

  6. Photography projects 2

    Delve deep into the world of photography with a selection of practical and creative workshops that will support you in developing the confidence and skills required for your own photographic practice.



    Photography Projects 2 is the second part of a two-stage course that offers both knowledge and practical experience within photography, exploring its various contexts and genres. This stage enables you to deepen your understanding of photographic techniques, gain new skills in industry software and start developing your own ideas through a self-led photographic project.



    Students who complete both stages of the course will achieve all of the learning outcomes and will have the opportunity to build an extensive portfolio of photographic work.

  7. Mixed media and drawing projects 2

    Mixed Media and drawing projects 2 is the secondary and concluding part of this exciting mixed media course, however you are able to enrol onto either or both if possible. This course will continue to introduce you to a wide range of different projects and build upon those developing ideas with continued access to working within observational and life drawing, collage, mono-printing, 3 dimensional constructions and painting. This course will end with you having an exciting portfolio of personal, creative work.







    Please note that if you are a progressing student from mixed media and drawing projects 1 (VB640A) you will have the opportunity to continue developing your ideas in greater depth alongside being introduced to new projects.

  10. Contemporary printmaking studio: focus on developing techniques

    Explore and develop personal work using traditional printmaking methods with a contemporary approach.   14. Introduction to prop making for film,TV, theatre and display: part 1

    Do you ever dream of conjuring up the props for the next Harry Potter, Doctor Who or West End musical? Are you an animator who wants to make props for your animation film or are you interested in a career in window display? We'll explore techniques used by the professionals to produce effective props and sets. Get hands-on experience of sculpting, fabricating, casting, mould making and using paint effects. Learn about the demands of the industry from specialist tutors, and have a go at translating your own ideas into 3D.
