We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will we cover?

Topics: interacting socially, formally and informally; expressing opinions; making descriptions.

Grammar: pronouns (direct and indirect); imperfect; modal verbs; adverbs and adjectives.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- have more confidence in your ability to understand and be understood in French
- recognise and pronounce French sounds more accurately
- say you agree and disagree
- understand and make descriptions of people and places in the present and in the past.

Please note that the learning outcomes may vary depending on the general progress made by the students.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Students should have completed French 2 upper at a gentle pace: module 1 or have recently done two years of French. It is also essential that you have some knowledge of basic grammar terminology (e.g verb, noun, conjugation).

You will also need to be able to respond to simple instructions and explanations, as well as read course documents, in English. You will need to be at ease with the use of numbers for daily activities (e.g. using money, telling the time, using the 24 hour clock, reading timetables).

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
