  1. ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy

    Train to practise aromatherapy professionally. The Level 3 ITEC Diploma qualifies you to work independently in your own practice or gain emplyment within a salon, clinic, health club or spa setting. Many of our graduate therapists also find work in the NHS, hospice or other healthcare setting. This is an ideal course for those wishiing to work in the Health and Beauty industry.



    Due to COVID 19 some of the theoretical modules may be taught Online. The Practical elements will be taught in class. However, this may change as the Government amends lockdown guidelines, which may allow for the whole class to be taught in class at City Lit.

    The college will provide all necessary PPE required. Please complete an online application form, and read the full course outline before applying.

    The course fee is £1489. If you are unable to pay this upfront, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to help cover the course fee, repayable after the course ends.   2. Certificate in counselling skills

    Do you want to develop counselling skills for paid or voluntary work? This course includes occasional weekend sessions which you will be required to join and one compulsory residential trip away.

    In order to apply for this course, please ensure that:

    • you have (or will have) completed an introductory counselling course of 30 hours, with an attendance record of at least 80% (within the last three years).

    OR

    • you have completed an introductory counselling course of 30 hours with an attendance record of at least 70% AND you have completed a ‘Counselling introduction: advanced’ course (or equivalent) with an attendance record of at least 80% (within the last three years)

    • you are able to speak and write fluently in English (level 2/GCSE).

    The course fee is £800, plus an upfront fee of £1199 payable at the time of your enrolment.

  3. Diploma in therapeutic counselling: integrative pathway

    You will need to have completed a level 3 certificate in counselling skills course (minimum 145GLH) within the last three years to be eligible to apply. This two-year course awarded by ABC Awards qualifies you to practise as a counsellor.
