An online barre class from the comfort of your own home. The work you do at the ballet barre is the foundation for all the other work you do as a dancer. Improve your strength, balance and coordination. Not suitable for complete beginners.

For experienced saxophone players, come and extend your technique, musicianship and performance skills in this advanced workshop. The emphasis will be on playing jazz, pop and World music, solo and as an ensemble, developing musicianship skills, and improvisation.

All cultures respect the world of Story. The ability to tell Stories, in a variety of settings, is a skill that has seen a strong resurgence both in the workplace and in contemporary performance. Join our weekly dance and movement classes to improve mobility, posture, balance and coordination. Our aim is to inspire older men and women to get creative with dance and movement.

The UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at City Lit is an exciting and challenging multi-disciplinary art, design, craft and media programme. It is designed to give you the best possible introduction to a wide range of materials, techniques and processes, and to support you in identifying and developing your creative interests and thinking. Validated by the University of the Arts London Awarding Body, it is an internationally recognised qualification with a UCAS tariff that enables you to apply directly to University.



The course fee is £5421, plus an upfront fee of £0 payable at the time of your enrolment.

This course aims to give you a basic understanding of Contemporary dance that is influenced by other styles. The course provides an understanding of the basic principles, techniques and style.

These sessions can be taught at any level and are designed to help you improve your BSL. You can ask your teacher to give guidance on specific areas of BSL. This can also be used to ‘brush up’ and practise before assessments and exams. If you are on one of our BSL courses and wish to undertake further practice in your own time then this course is for you! Please contact the department for further details and to discuss your requirements. You will then be assigned one of our BSL teachers to work with you.

Come and develop your technique and musical skills through playing ensemble and solo repertoire. This course is for students playing at Grade 4 standard at least. Break week: Tues 28 May 2024.

This class is designed for those who already have previous dance experience. Here, you will be taught new steps and techniques to develop coordination, flexibility and strength. The main aim of the course is for you to continue to learn and develop your new skills whilst having fun and growing in confidence.

Enjoy this practical exploration of classic soul tunes and blues vocal style and repertoire. This singing class combines technical training and performance of well known songs.

Develop your singing journey and explore your voice in the third year of our training programme. These classes will further advance your singing voice and musicianship skills through a selection of technical exercises and songs from a variety of genres to suit all musical tastes.
