This workshop will have a focus on Operatic repertoire and the techniques required for this demanding genre.

Develop your cabaret performance skills in this lively, engaging workshop. Learn to transition between speech and song and to create a meaningful cabaret sequence. If you are new to this class you need to be assessed in an advice session. Please click the pink 'start your interview' button on the right, and you will be contacted by the Music Department.

A beginners workshop style class for singers who are looking to take the first steps into singing solo. Learn how to sing confidently with an accompanist through manageable exercises and challenges building to an entire song.

Learn essential tools to sing jazz, including what to listen for in the piano accompaniment and the importance of pulse, groove and vocal technique. This day is for singers with musical experience who are new to the jazz idiom.

Singing with others is great fun, and has been proven to be good for your health. Join us for this short course and get started over the summer to see how it can benefit you. Suitable for all levels, no audition required.

Learn to perform ensemble numbers from popular Broadway and West End shows, from standard classics to modern musicals. Gain confidence in performing as a group, and enjoy singing solo within an ensemble.

Rodgers and Hammerstein - Together they created a series of innovative and influential American musicals. Their musical theatre writing partnership has been called the greatest of the 20th century. We will be looking at some of the big ensemble numbers from shows such as Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music alongside a couple of lesser known shows. Alongside soloists required for the ensemble numbers you are invited to bring a piece of your choosing from the vast catalogue of songs by these exceptional composers. If you are nervous of singing in public, scared to open your mouth or just want to know how your voice works, this course is for you. Classes are fun and cover a wide range of musical styles, so there is something for everyone. Break week 28th October 2024.
