City Lit offers performing arts courses in the heart of Covent Garden in Central London during the evening, daytime and at weekends.   2. Aural training (solfa) beginners 1

    These online practical sessions will focus on sight-singing and aural perception to develop your general musicianship.     Take your first steps as a presenter at the mic - whether it's for radio or podcasting or any other platform. You'll practise ad-libbing and reading scripts including your own, learn to ask guests the right questions in interviews and read the news. This course is supported by a media technician who will edit student recordings each session for that future demo. It's suitable for anyone wanting to improve presenting or performance skills - or if you’re just looking to build general confidence at the mic or speaking in public.

  11. Reading English literature aloud: 19th century

    Come and enjoy reading aloud prepared passages from novels by Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens, while using your voice to provide narrative and create character.
