Digital skills are now a universal skill that is as essential to participating, progressing and expressing yourself within society as English and Maths.

Our Digital and Office Skills courses will develop all of your general digital and computing skills from beginner to advanced and do so in a way that situates your learning and prepares you for the world outside the classroom, for working and non-working life. You will not only develop your digital abilities but also the most in-demand skills for life: problem-solving, analysing, decision-making, working together, attending to details and seeing the bigger picture.

Whether you are recently redundant, returning to work, looking to upskill, or wanting to do everyday tasks and communicate better with family and friends, we have the courses to help you succeed.

    Knowing how to handle large amounts of data, analyse it effectively and then present the findings are essential workplace skills. A recent study found 88% of employers want employees with data analysis skills. This intermediate Excel course will help you develop these skills by focusing on common workplace tasks and problems that require some of the more complex Excel functions. You will focus on how to handle large amounts of data and convert it into usable, valuable information. You will develop your skills so you can work with different formulae and functions to create for example automated budgets that take into account variable conditions. You will learn how to link data across spreadsheets and also calculate and present trends. You will work with pivot tables and learn why you use them.     Collaborating skills within the workplace are in demand. Almost all jobs now require you to coordinate work, build relationships and cope with complexity. Microsoft Teams is an essential digital tool to enable this. This course you will help you develop and practise these skills by learning in detail how to use Teams' key features, including why, when and how you should use them. You will practise how to set up Teams and channels and what you use these for. You will learn how to use files in Teams, how to collaborate and co-author files in Teams, how Teams relates to SharePoint and One Drive, how you can keep track of collaborations, and how to sync your files across different devices. You will also focus on how to use the calendar efficiently, how to conduct meetings and use the some key meeting features.
