This third year of our classical piano programme continues with repertoire of a grade 1 standard and is suitable for students working towards ABRSM Grade 2. Improve your technique, fluency of reading and playing, and exploring more complex rhythmic patterns.

This is the third course in our series of classes for beginner pianists. If you have completed Piano/keyboards 1B or have basic keyboard and music reading skills, this course will help you build on your knowledge and pianistic ability and musicianship

This popular course explores musical theatre singing. Grow your knowledge of the repertoire. Suitable for singers and actors wanting to improve their singing and acting through song technique. Be guided through the basics to find the right singing qualities for this repertoire.

Learn about irregular metre, tenor clef, major and minor keys to six flats/sharps, primary triads, cadences, and standard expression signs. Essential for anyone taking higher grade practical exams. (Break Week: 26/29th Oct 2026 or 2nd June 2027 as appropriate)

For pianists with around three years' experience. Work on grade 4 standard repertoire to improve your hand coordination, musical phrasing, reading and finger technique, and improve your confidence. This course is suitable for students working towards ABRSM Grade 4.

Continue your singing journey and explore your voice in the second year of our training programme. These classes will further develop your singing voice and musicianship skills through a selection of technical exercises and songs from multiple genres. At this level the repertoire could be focused primarily on either classical OR contemporary songs at the tutors discretion. An ensemble class for players of any fretted instrument: guitar, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, bass guitar or any other! There will be individual parts for each player suited to their abilities; together we will play all sorts of music. This course is for experienced players, the ability to read one of the following will be necessary: chord symbols, tablature or musical notation. Challenging and fun - the music/repertoire will be tailored to your various abilities.

This course is for students who have a minimum of five years' experience on clarinet (playing at grade 6 standard or above), come and work on both technique and solo repertoire and enjoy some group playing. Offered every term.

This course is for students who have been learning for three to four years and are fluent in 1st and 3rd positions (grade 3-4). Come and study higher positions, vibrato and a variety of bow techniques. This course continues with Violin and Viola 4B next term.

This course is for students who have played Bb clarinet for at least a year. Come and improve your technique and performance skills, and explore a variety of styles and repertoire. Continues to Clarinet 2B next term.
