WordPress is the world's most popular content management system, and it's free! On this intensive, one-day course you'll learn how to use it to build your own website.

One of the great advances in technology is that machines can learn without humans teaching them explicit rules – e.g. letting machines train on samples of speech allows Siri to recognise your commands. Machine learning is a large part of artificial intelligence, and a mystery to most of us. This practical course teaches you how to program learning algorithms in Python. We will cover fundamentals of classification, natural language processing, financial predictions and much more. You will learn elements of data mining, how to choose a learning algorithm, and how to tweak parameters of the algorithm. We will briefly cover the theory behind the algorithms, so some maths knowledge is useful, but not required. To enrol, you must have experience with Python or a similar programming language, e.g. have taken City Lit’s Introduction to Python or Introduction to R programming course.

Data analysis involves examining, cleaning, and interpreting data to make informed decisions. Python offers the best toolkit for professionals, providing ease and efficiency. Data Analytics with Python: introduction course teaches you to automate tasks, analyze data, and make smarter decisions.

Take your Python coding skills to the next level. Extend your programming skills by learning how to create secure and reusable code using sub-routines and modules, use advanced lists and dictionaries to create more complex programs that solve real world problems, use inbuilt libraries to boost the functionality of your programs and learn how to build graphical interfaces to your code that work on Windows, Mac and Linux systems.

Take your basic WordPress skills to the next level by using plugins and widgets to add new functionality, and by editing and creating theme files to customise the look of your site.

Want to expand your knowledge of HTML5 and CSS? Need a better understanding of UI design? This course builds on the skills gained on our stage 1 course. Learn to section a web page using strucural tags in HTML5. Learn to arrange and position HTML5 elements to create modern web page layouts using CSS.

This Level 3 accredited course is designed for learners wishing to develop and extend their digital and IT skills to prepare for different roles in the digital and creative industries within Software Development.

This Level 3 course is designed for learners wishing to gain knowledge and skills of traditional practices used in UX/UI design industry sectors. On completion of the certificate, you would have the opportunity to join UX/UI design companies as an entry level UX/UI designer with some website creation/design experience or progress onto higher education.
