City Lit offers performing arts courses in the heart of Covent Garden in Central London during the evening, daytime and at weekends.     Become part of a radio repertory company and take part in creating and recording for broadcast a performance of a radio play. This term we will be performing scenes from Oscar Wilde's Importance Of Being Earnest. In addition, there will be a public performance of a reading of the play on Thursday 18th July. This advanced course is for those with previous experience in acting and radio, either through courses or industry.     The fantastical opera L'Enfant et les sortileges, by Maurice Ravel, was first performed in March 1925 at the Monte Carlo Opera. Come and explore this delightful work, with plot and libretto by the novelist Collete, and its magical characters and even more magical music.

    Come together with others to explore the work of different playwrights, share the spoken word and gain insight into different plays. These fun and friendly sessions are for people who would like to read and discuss plays under the guidance of a theatre professional. Working in a supportive atmosphere you will read out loud and discuss the main themes of a range of both contemporary and classic texts. The two plays that will be read are 'Lysistrata' by Aristophanes (Patric Dickinson translation) and 'Three Birds' by Janice Okoh.
