Would you like to write a picture book text for young children? This course is designed for children's writers and for illustrators wishing to write their own stories; a starter course to develop both your ideas and your technique.

Interested in learning British Sign Language? Learn some basic vocabulary and grammar, and decide if you want to progress to the level 1 qualification.

Discover the ancient and highly therapeutic practice of Indian head massage. Learn how tension is held in the neck and shoulders and how to alleviate this in family and friends by practising a basic routine.

By exploring a range of beaded jewellery techniques you will learn how to string precious beads and how to knot between beads and pearls. You will also learn how to attach simple clasps and findings to bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

Have you always wanted to learn British Sign Language and communicate with Deaf people? Develop the skills you need to gain the level 1 BSL qualification, accredited by Signature. The fees for BSL level 1 courses include a year's subscription to Signworld.







You may wish to study BSL without the pressure of an exam, or just for fun. We can arrange for you to be taught without a formal final assessment and you will receive a certificate of attendance.

Learn yoga postures and breathing exercises. Improve your body and breath awareness, posture, strength and flexibility, and practise relaxation techniques. For those with little or no experience of yoga.

Make a small bread or fruit basket over two evening sessions. Suitable for beginners as an introduction to traditional willow basketry techniques, or for those with some experience wanting to refresh their skills.
