The course will cover basic techniques in Mime towards developing and creating worlds alongside opening your body up to expressionistic styles. Through technique and improvisational based classes we will play and explore some of the most renowned exercises in Mime and build on them. Engaging your imagination and developing your awareness of your body as a tool for theatre craft.

An introductory course for all musicians to improve their aural skills, sight-singing and general musicianship using this renowned teaching method with an experienced and qualified tutor.

Rodgers and Hammerstein - Together they created a series of innovative and influential American musicals. Their musical theatre writing partnership has been called the greatest of the 20th century. We will be looking at some of the big ensemble numbers from shows such as Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music alongside a couple of lesser known shows. Alongside soloists required for the ensemble numbers you are invited to bring a piece of your choosing from the vast catalogue of songs by these exceptional composers. This course aims to give you a basic understanding of Contemporary dance that is influenced by other styles. The course provides an understanding of the basic principles, techniques and style.

Do you enjoy vintage social dancing events but don't have a partner? Looking to nail those moves and increase your freestyle confidence? Then this is the course for you! We will work on foot-work sequences and steps of authentic jazz dancing and Rhythm & Blues Strolls, progressing to faster pace flick kicks and turns for jive and Rock ’n' Roll dances. No partner required! This is a general level course suitable for beginners and improvers.

A creative, high energy and inspiring workshop in mask characterisation and mask physicality. If you are interested in learning about performing in full mask this one day workshop will introduce techniques helping to build confidence and understanding of mask performance. Masks provided.

This workshop is about having fun, recreating and learning all the famous TikTok dances - short choreographed routines set to popular songs or sounds. At the start of each class there will be a 15-20 min warm up to get you in the mood. Our professional dancer will then break down the steps and teach you how to execute and perfect them.

Join us for an energetic and intensive introduction to Salsa. Learn the essential Salsa steps in a fun, friendly and energetic environment. It's a partner dance, so you'll meet plenty of new people along the way. No need to bring a partner, part of the fun is meeting new people but most of all learning a new dance style whilst having a good time.

The course aims to give you a further embodied understanding of Contemporary dance that is underpinned by Somatics practice, and other contemporary dance techniques, to bring greater flow and dynamics to your expression as you allow yourself to move from your inner space and to negotiate the flow of weight, rhythm, breath, space and time.

In perfect sync with the season and an all-time Christmas favourite ballet we offer this fun 3-day intensive exploring the repertoire of the ‘Nutcracker’. You will explore some of the Nutcracker characters and dance sequences and have an opportuity to perform all learned material on the final day. To beneift from this course you should have attended regular ballet classes for at least 6 to 12 months.

Come and learn how this fascinating and eclectic composer was part of, and a huge influence on, Western classical music during his lifetime and beyond, and learn to appreciate his music for its own sake.
