City Lit offers performing arts courses in the heart of Covent Garden in Central London during the evening, daytime and at weekends.   3. Acting for radio: Theatre Company

    Become part of a radio repertory company and take part in creating and recording for broadcast a performance of a radio play. This term we will be performing scenes from Oscar Wilde's Importance Of Being Earnest. In addition, there will be a public performance of a reading of the play on Thursday 18th July. This advanced course is for those with previous experience in acting and radio, either through courses or industry.   4. Character voice for animation, stage and screen (intensive)

    Character voices aren’t just for cartoons. Learn the tools and techniques you need to create new and unique character voices or to accurately imitate a historical or contemporary voice for animation, stage and screen. This course will be delivered in the media studio.

  5. Radio and podcast presenting: advanced (online)

    This is an opportunity to take your love of radio to the next level. The course supports you with a tutor-editor to craft a pre-recorded radio programme or extended feature on a subject of your choice, mixing interview clips, music and sound effects into your own production.     Our improvers class is an exciting new dance class for people over 60 who would like to engage their body in a more challenging and dynamic manner, to further develop their skill and knowledge of dance cultures.

  14. Jazz harmony and ear training 1A

    We will study time, form, root movement and harmonic progression, chord types, intervals, scales and modes. Learn transcribed solos and participate in playing sessions.   15. Jazz harmony and ear training 2A

    If you already play jazz and can recognise intervals and diatonic seventh chords in sequence, come and develop your aural, harmonic and rhythmic sense through the study of jazz standards and improvisation.
