This is a powerful approach to therapy. You'll learn to work more effectively with negative thoughts and feelings through acceptance and mindfulness work. You'll also learn how to identify, and move towards, valued goals and directions in your life. If you are new to us, you need to have some advice on the course suitability. Develop your personal effectiveness by learning and practising some key assertiveness skills that are highly relevant in a range of situations including: attending an interview, working with clients, communicating with your manager/supervisor and contributing to an MDT meeting.

'Train the Trainer' is a practical 2 day course designed to help you gain ideas for effective facilitation and managing groups. It is suitable if you are thinking of becoming a trainer and want to gain confidence in planning and facilitating the training, or if you are an experienced trainer and want to refresh your practice. You will leave with some tools and techniques that will ensure your training is engaging and productive for your learners. On day 2 you will have the opportunity to deliver a short micro-training or interactive presentation. You are required to attend both days of this course.

Are you interested in learning BSL? Join us to learn some basic vocabulary and grammar and decide if you want to progress to the level 1 qualification.

Explore science subjects without maths - what patterns and shapes can you see in the world around you? Use apps to make artwork, videos and sounds. Make a simple machine that makes its own drawings.Research a subject of your choice and share with the class.

Visit galleries and museums in central London every fortnight. Work on personal research projects and share with the class. Take photographs, video and make sketches on visits.

Have fun discovering and making sounds, listening, creating, experimenting, controlling, expressing ourselves with acoustic and electronic sounds.

Explore ways to combine and collage using a range of materials including fabric, photocopies, found materials and painting to create contemporary art works.

The City & Guilds (6502) Award in Education and Training is an initial teacher training course ideal for anyone who teaches adults - or has experience of teaching adults - in Further Education or Adult and Community Learning. We may also consider you if you do not have teaching experience, but are qualified in your subject and have worked in a related field. This course will me mainly online with two sessions at City Lit towards the end of the course. Please note this course will be mainly online, except for sessions 8 and 10, and possibly 11.
